Pultneyville landmark closing this month The Salmon Creek House, Antique and Gift Shop, is closing its door after 25 years of business. In 1981 the shop was called Pultneyville Galleries, started by Vicki Webeck and five other local artists. In the mid -1980s, the shop changed hands and was renamed Salmon Creek House. This 1860s house with 13 rooms, filled with antiques, fine art, country wares and collectibles has been a popular stopping point for those traveling along the Seaway Trail. Over the years, many Dutch and European families following the Trail to Niagara Falls, along with cross country bikers, have enjoyed the shop. Area residents have been supportive and the crew at the shop wishes to express their gratitude. Their final day will be September 24. Hours are 10 to 5, Tuesday through Sunday. Most items will be on sale.
