September 6, 1939 - Sixteen of the Marion F.F.A. members won ribbons and cash awards at the New York State Fair amounting to over $35.

The largest number of prizes were won by Lester DeFisher, Clifford Burcroff & Howard Boice, each winning 5 prizes.

Jewelry, Gem & Mineral Show: St. Michael's School, Gem & Mineral Show and Sale will be Saturday, Sept. 30, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 1, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Kudos to: Ted LeClair for making the new Hymn Board at St. Gregory's.

The Hen House Country Store is celebrating Johnny Appleseed's birthday, Saturday, September 23, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, September 24, from Noon to 4 p.m. Featuring bargains on the porch, farm fresh apples, homemade refreshments, apple cider. Come and enjoy harvest time down on the farm. 10% customer appreciation discount during this celebration.
