Get historical grants

The Wayne County Antique Dealers' Association has announced its annual Historical Grant Program to be dispensed to chartered historical societies in the county. All qualifiying societies have been invited to submit detailed grant applications by Nov. 30. Notifications of awards will be made in January 2007.

The total grant allotment of $1,250 may be given to one group or divided among several applicants. In 2006, awards were given to the Wolcott Historical Society and the Butler Historic Preservation Society.

The Dealers Association, founded in 1967, initiated the partnership program in 1996 to allow continuous cumulative support for the historical, cultural and creative life of Wayne County. The Association presents two antique shows each year and several public programs on antiques.

This year's Harvest Antique Show & Sale will be held on October 21 & 22, at the Williamson High School, Rt. 21-S, Williamson, NY.
