A used clothing drop-off box is at St. Gregory's Church (with the help of St. Pauly's mission) to collect usable clothing for people here in the U.S. and in the third world countries. Clean clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, blankets, sheets, pillowcases, drapes, and stuffed toys are acceptable. (NO rags, fabric scraps, pillows, books, toys, or household goods.) Your donations will provide a financial benefit to the church.

Gord and I stopped at the 'Muddy Waters Cafe' in Palmyra for lunch last week. He had the toasted BLT and mine was 'the Rudder' - both delicious! (Near Port of Palmyra, off Canal Street.)

Sept., 29 is Homecoming, Chicken BBQ and Dance.

'People who live in glass houses shouldn't do much of anything.'

Pumpkin Pie Potpourri

1. Cut the top off a small- to medium-size pumpkin with a pumpkin knife. Scrape the seeds from the top and inside of the pumpkin. Put the seeds in a bowl to use later.

2. Carve out vents in the pumpkin.

3. Rub cinnamon or pumpkin pie spices on the underside of the lid.

4. Set a lighted tea-light candle inside. The pumpkin will give off the scent of fresh baked pumpkin pie for about 6 hours.
