4-H will get proceeds for wine/cheese event More than 40 wines will be featured at the 2nd annual Wine and Cheese Tasting on Thursday, August 16 from 6-9 p.m. at the Wayne County Fair. Wegmans Food Markets, Centerra Wine Company, Glenora Wine Cellars, Goose Watch Winery, Hunt Country Vineyards, Knapp Vinyards, Montezuma Winery, Swedish Hill Vineyards and Thirsty Owl Wine Company will offer tables of wines, cheese and sweets for attendees to sample. The Technology Company of Penfield will be providing digital signage highlighting wine and cheese information. Party supplies are being provided by Burnham's Table & Chair Rental of Fairville. Kate Lee with No Strings Attached will be performing during the event. A $3 donation is requested with all the proceeds going to the Wayne County 4-H Program, a division of Cornell Cooperative Extension. All attendees will be entered in a drawing for various items donated by the sponsors. The 152nd annual Wayne County Fair starts Monday, August 13 through Saturday, August 18 and is located on Jackson Street in Palmyra.
