Event in Lyons for King Lewis

Members of the Mt. Zion MB Church are planning an event August 18 to celebrate the anniversary of Pastor King Lewis.

Participating in the celebration are the Sons of Legends of CNY and The Syracuse Spiritual Airs of Syracuse.

Pastor G.O. Kemp, Jr. of the Sons of Legends and a former resident of Lyons will be in Lyons for the event. He's calling on residents in surrounding communities to help him celebrate at his childhood church.

The event begins at 6 p.m., at Mt. Zion MB Church, Corner of Holly and Spencer Streets. Tickets are $10 in advance and at the door.

Children 12-18 pay $5; under 12 gets in free.
