Girls will explore at Clyde school Any girl (grades 5 through 8) interested in exploring the world of science and entering can come join the fun, make new friends, and investigate science through Project G.S.I. (Girl Science Investigation). This is a free event taking place Saturday, September 15, at St. John's School, West DeZeng Street, Clyde from 8:30 to 12:30. Throughout the morning, the girls will: Engage in Engineering, hosted by RITs WE (Women in Engineering), by exploring circuits and analyzing electric potential; have Phun with Physics through reactions, speed, and collisions while discovering the fun of putting physics into action; learn about Backyard Biology/Environmental Science, hosted by the local Montezuma Audubon Center, by exploring the world around them and how each can help make the world a better place; participate in Creative Chemistry where they will be concocting and creating with reactions and experimentations! Girls should bring a sense of adventure and enthusiasm! Limited spots available. Reservations will be accepted up to Sept. 8. This is a Girl Scout Gold Award Project. This award symbolizes outstanding accomplishments in leadership, community service, career planning, and personal development, and is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn.
