East Palmyra Christian School concert Friday The East Palmyra Christian School is celebrating the gift of Jesus with a Christmas concert on Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:15 in the school gym, East Palmyra-Port Gibson Road. The concert will feature the school's jazz and concert bands performing such standards as Leroy Anderson's 'Sleigh Ride,' 'O Little Town of Bethlehem,' and a rock version of 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas.' The handchime choirs will perform 'Unto Us a Child is Born,' and 'Bring a Torch Jeanette, Isabella,' and 'A Carol Festival.' Concert choir will feature local musicians in the celtic style piece 'Shepherd's Joy,' and welcomes parents and other community members to join in on 'Creation Will be at Peace.' The concert is free, and a free-will offering will be taken to support the music program at the school. The Christian School is located at 2023 East Palmyra-Port Gibson Road.
