Breakfast with Santa Dec. 8 in Sodus

December 8, The Sodus Lioness Club invites you Breakfast with Santa, at the Sodus United Methodist Church.

This holiday event is one that the children of the community eagerly anticipate every Christmas.

Breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 10:30. There will be stacks of warm pancakes, sausages and a special egg casserole accompanied by a choice of juice, hot cocoa, coffee and tea. Bring your appetite for it is all you can eat!

Santa, accompanied by his elves, will be the highlight of the morning. Photos with Santa will be available for a small fee. Children will have the opportunity to pick out their favorite holiday designs for the ever popular face painting.

Stop by the holiday baked food table for many traditional holiday breads, cookies, fudge and goodies.

Proceeds from the breakfast and baked food sale are used to fund the many community projects this very active club of area woman participate in and support throughout the year.

The Sodus Lions Club will again offer a vision screening using their high tech screening camera. The procedure takes only five minutes and involves taking two Polaroid-type pictures of the child's eye. The pictures are interpreted by a physician at a later date.

This screening has been successful in diagnosing undetected vision problems in children even before they enter school. In general, the younger the child, the better chance of early diagnosis and treatment of vision problems.

Tickets for the breakfast will be sold at the door and cost $5 for adults, children $3, two and under are free. Pre-sale family rate is $15. Call 483.8061 for pre-sale tickets.
