Holiday Boutique at museum in Lyons

The Museum of Wayne County History had a full weekend of visitors who enjoyed the Holiday Boutique and participation in the Muse-Story Tour, a tour of seven Museums around the county.

photography Museum Manager Mary Erle filled the three floors of the museum with artisans and crafters who sold everything from fine jewelry to floral arrangements. On the ground floor, Ross Marshall's hand-crafted wood furniture was displayed in the Parlor along with Nancy Kasper's Earthly Designs jewelry; Marty DeSanto sold her gingerbread creations in the Sheriff's Office; Jack Milliken of Settlers Post took up residence in the north-side jail selling wreaths and holiday arrangements; Sharon Caves and Jim Foss's Brickhouse Crafts spent their time in the south-side Jail, and Mark Whitney Photography was in the Library.

Kimberly Swan and her Swanmark Jewelry were in the Military Room upstairs; Dresden Manor Creations donned the Clyde Glass and Lyons Pottery Room; Phil Paliotti and his wood-turning creations were near the Hotchkiss Essential Oil display; Donna Conlin and her AMMR Creations of art were in the Children's Room; Kathy Lewis's textile creations were in the Women's Room, and Denise Eaton Photography was in between the two rooms.

Lillian DeMarco's Holiday Crafts were in the Weaving Room and Craig Trine's display of Graphic Art was in the Kitchen.

Executive Director of the Museum, Larry Ann Evans said 11 out of the 13 artisans and crafters have asked to come back next year.

Two area business, Flowers Unlimited in Newark and The Original Candy Kitchen in Williamson and one downstate business, Clapper Hollow Designs out of Cobleskill, made donations for a raffle.

Other businesses to help with donations were Wegmans and the P&C in Newark and BJ's in Geneva.
