Sawyer Concert Dec. 9 in Wolcott

Pharmacist Don Collea, owner of the Wolcott Village Pharmacy, has generously donated $500 for this year's free concert ... Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church of Wolcott, from 3 to 5 p.m.

The church is located on West Main Street. For more information, call 594.1952 or

ckenyon@rochester.rr.com

Snow date is December 16.

The musicians are Jeff Sawyer, along with Kelley Loveless, Matt and Jennifer Vacanti and special guests, Marty Roberts, Keith Impellitier, and Kate Lee.

Lee, 15-year-old violinist from Webster, was honored to be the 2007 guest Fiddle Instructor at the State Fiddlers Hall of Fame. Lee was a member of the Hochstein Youth Orchestra in 2006; she is a violinist with the Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and she performs with her High School Orchestra and Select Choir.

Sawyer has taught private piano instruction for over 16 years. He owns and operates a successful recording studio, along with writing music for a national children's show currently aired on PBS and the Learning Channel.

Loveless started singing at age seven in her junior church choir. In high school she continued to sing in choirs, while bringing her vocal skills to New York State Solo Competitions, All-County, and Select Choirs. After completing her college education she joined The Robert Bromley Band, where she sang lead and back-up vocals.

Matt Vacanti will be playing acoustic and fretless bass during the Jeff Sawyer Concert.

Jennifer Vacanti, a percussionist, received her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia. She plays with the Society for New Music, the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, CNY Music Educator's Wind Ensemble and the Elaine Miller Jazz Collective.

Roberts, resides in Webster. His first CD, 'First Time ... At Last,' was released in 2002 and includes 11 original songs (like 'Face of an Angel' and 'I did the Best I could ... so Far').

Impellitier grew up in Rochester and did his college years and early band days in Arizona. His formative musical years, however, were actually spent in Texas, where he played guitar, keyboards, sang and wrote songs for Calico, an award-winning Texas progressive country band.
