Newark school gets $500 ExxonMobil grant Newark Middle School has received a $500 grant from the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program. Principal Mark Miller, who recently received the check from Mary Jo Ciaschi, manager of the Newark ExxonMobil ExpressMart off Route 31, is grateful, said the donation will be used to fund student activities and programs. The grant, one of 4000 available to schools across the country served by Exxon or Mobil stations, is funded by the Exxon Mobil Corporation. The ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program is designed to provide Exxon and Mobil retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools.
