Youths represent Dundas and win spelling bee

Ed Dundas, Kyle Zappia, Lynne Harris, Doug Koontz, Steve Denninger and Don Alhart

In an effort to improve Literacy in Wayne County, the Rotary Clubs of Wayne County held the 8th annual Spelling Bee to raise funds for Literacy Volunteers of Wayne County. The event was held February 10 at Eastview Mall.

The Newark Rotary Club had three teams participating, one adult team and two youth teams.

The adult team consisted of John Clingerman and Jonathan Carey and was sponsored by Sean Dobbins.

Newark Rotary sponsored the Invincible Interactors consisting of Ann Monahan, Nick Schwind and Emily Bruni.

Winning for the youth division was the Unfair Advantage team, sponsored by Ed Dundas and the Dundas Agency, Inc.
