Lyons Scouts collecting yarn

Lyons Girl Scout Troop 215 which consists of girls: Mikayla Bastian, Asia Battle, Brenda Boor, Brittany DeCola, Sydney Grimsley, Hollianna Hendler, Myishia Long, Elizabeth McGory, Jennifer Norris, Alexis Smith, Mariah Virts, and Jessica Yadanza are working on achieving their Bronze Award in Girl Scouts. The Service project we have chosen is The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) which knits and crochets a large quantity of items needed in Wayne, Ontario, and Seneca Counties. They provide all items they make from donated yarn. We are asking the community to open their hearts and donate yarn or knitting needles to help them out.

We have donation boxes in Lyons for drop-offs. These are located at Loson's, Dobbins Drugs, The Lyons Community Center, The Lyons Elementary School, and Double J's Pizza parlors in Lyons, Clyde, & Sodus. These drop-off boxes will be out until March 10. Also on March 10, only from 1-3:30, there will be a donation box at the Lyons Elementary School during a Girl Scout activity.

New and Partial skeins of Yarn are accepted! A big thank you to all who choose to help us out.

Sincerely,
Girl Scout Troop #215
