County snowmobile map is ready While many folks are enjoying this mild winter weather one group is definitely not. All we want for Christmas is some snow, is the wish from the local snowmobile clubs and their members. Hopefully their wish will come true in the near future. New for this year is a 2007 updated Wayne County snowmobile trail map. The map is complete with clearly marked trails (NYS Corridor Trails and NYS Secondary Trails), trailhead parking, gas stations and trail junctions. The map is a collaboration of the five snowmobile clubs and the county Planning Department. Clubs include the Webster Ridge Runners, P.O. Box 82, Webster 14580 Williamson Drift Riders, P.O. Box 761, Williamson 14589 Lakeshore Snow Devils, P.O. Box 334, Alton 14413 Canaltown Snowmobilers, 5352 E. Williamson Road, Marion, 14505, and the Old Erie Riders, P.O. Box 11, Clyde 14433. Contact a club if you are interested in membership. Remember ... without the generosity of private landowners, this map and trails would not be possible.
