Alzheimer Caregiver Matinee
in Lyons January 18

The Alzheimer's Association and the Wayne County Department of Aging and Youth present a Caregiver Matinee on Thursday, January 18, from noon to 2.

The program will be held at the Wayne County Department of Aging and Youth Health Services Building in Lyons. This event is free and offers a day out for caregivers of people with Alzheimer's disease or other related dementias, and provides a chance for folks to socialize in a relaxed atmosphere, draw support from others and enhance caregiving skills.

The program includes: a movie about caregiving, time for discussion, an overview of resources in the community and a light lunch. In-home respite is also available at no cost during the program for the loved ones of attendees as needed, with at least a two-week notice.
