Tours of Historic Lyons church

Historic Grace Episcopal Church will open its doors on Sunday afternoon, July 15 during Peppermint Days in Lyons. Tours of the church, built in 1838 and consecrated in 1841, will be given at 2 p.m. and again at 3 p.m. An elegant tea in the Parish House will follow each tour.

Tea, coffee, sandwiches, cookies, cakes and scones will be served. There is a tax-deductible donation of $5. Also an 1839 silver United States half dollar will be raffled off during the afternoon. All proceeds from the Tour and Tea and the raffle will go to the Stained Glass Repair Fund.

Grace Church is on the State and National Register of Historic Sites.
