Sgt. worked Secret Service missions
 Sgt. Shawn Jordan

Sgt. Shawn Jordan recently returned home to his native Newark, after serving five years in the military as an MP, where he worked with his canine friend, Allen.

Jordan joined the Army right out of high school in August 2002. He was stationed in Ft. Drum and later was deployed to Iraq.

He returned to the states in 2004 and went to Texas for canine handler training. After being promoted to Sgt. in 2005, he was transferred to Ft. Meyer, where he and his wife Megan and daughter Emmarie made their home.

It was in Virginia that he began his 'Secret Service Missions,' traveling with President Bush to places like India and Mexico, and to Cancun, Mexico with the Secretary of State.

Jordan earned many medals and ribbons to include four Army Achievement Medals.

He is completing his degree in criminal justice and will pursue a career in law enforcement.

Friends who'd like to see Shawn, there will be a welcome home gathering on August 5. Please call 331.2290 for further details.
