Newark church plans hot dogs and concert

Everyone is invited to a concert and hot dog roast at Woodlane Community Church, this coming Sunday, July 22 at 1 p.m.

Fmily and friends will enjoy a Zweigle hotdog, a drink and some snacks as well as an afternoon of music.

The concert features Connie Lea (Cutler) and The Christian Brothers Band. Country gospel singer Connie Lea will perform from 1 to 2 and the rock band The Christian Brothers from 3 to 5.

Food will be served all afternoon. A love offering will be taken for the music and there will be a small charge for the food.

Connie Lea has a recording career with GodChild records, one of the top of labels in Nashville. Her clear, melodic voice gives new life to old country gospel favorites. She says, 'Keep your eyes on JESUS and He will make a way for you!' Her CD, Plenty of Time was released in April, 2007. She is married to Bruce and enjoys helping him with his syndicated radio show which airs on WACK 1420 AM Sundays at 6:30 a.m.

The Christian Brothers Band blends Biblical lyrics and classic hit music from the 1960's, 70's, and 80's.

This unique band of 'brothers' initially gathered to play theme music for a missions conference. Since then, they haven't looked back. They are currently booked at numerous shows from festivals. Their music presents a picture of Jesus Christ.
