Civil War talk in Newark

The D.G. Caywood Camp No. 146 of the Sons of Union veterans of the Civil War, in cooperation with the Newark-Arcadia Historical Society, is pleased to announce another one of its round table discussions on a topic about the Civil War.

This discussion is open to the public free of charge. We invite anyone who is interested in our nation's history and especially the Civil War to attend.

The discussion will be held on Tues. evening, July 31, at 7 p.m. sharp, at the Newark-Arcadia Historical Museum, 120 High St., Newark. (Phone 315.331.6409)

The museum is one block off Rt. 88 to the west in the center of the village of Newark. The building does have air conditioning.

Our topic for discussion is 'Books about the Civil War.' So all are invited to bring their favorite book about the Civil War to discuss and share. Please feel free to come to participate in the discussion or just observe. We plan to have a great deal of fun.

For more information, call either Daniel Olson at 315.946.9801, William Parker at 607.387.6155, or Dawn Jendrick at 315.331.8141 or the museum at the above number.
