Pioneer Gas Engine reunion in Marion The Pioneer Gas Engine Association will be holding it's reunion show on July 27 & 28. The Association's Board of Directors and Officers include President: Chris Salerno, Marion, Vice President: Wade Kniffm, Penn Yan, Treasurer: Richard Vanderbrook, Marion, Secretaries: Danielle Salerno & Becky Luckman, Marion. Directors: Dana Luckman, Tom Weis, Josh Weis, Dick Simmons, Neil LeClair, Terry Salerno (all from Marion), Lee MacLaren, Newark, Floyd Matteson, Williamson, and Gary Love, Canandaigua. This year's show will feature displays and demonstrations of antique gas engines, tractors, steam engines, farm equipment, a blacksmith, stone crushing, dynometer, parades, and a flea market. There will also be cakewalks held daily. Refreshments will be on sale as well. There will be awards given out as well for engine displays. The antique tractor pulls will take place on Friday starting at 6:00 pm, Saturday at 5:00 pm and a 'dead weight' pull on Saturday at 11:00 am. All participants must have stock equipment 1956 or older, and have a 2007 membership. The children's pedal tractor pull is held on Saturday at 11:00 am. The show will be held at the Marion Town Park, in the Town of Marion, on Main Street, off from Route 21. (Follow the signs from Route 21 and look for Park Drive) Admission for the show is a donation of $2.00 per person, with children under 12 free or a 2007 membership. Memberships are $4.00 for a single membership (over the age of 16), or $6.00 for a family. All displayers need to have a current membership. Flea Market spaces are available as well.
