'Operation Safe Child' this Saturday

The Newark Police Department, Wayne & Ontario County Sheriff's Departments, in conjunction with the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services and Ruffalo Appliance, are proud to host 'Operation Safe Child.'

This uses the latest digitial fingerprint technology and high-resolution photography capabilities to produce a Safe Child ID. The card contains the child name, biographical information (date of birth, gender, height, weight, hair color, eye color, etc.) and a fingerprint image of both index fingers. The card can be made in less than two minutes and can be carried in a wallet or pocketbook.

Stop at Ruffalo Appliance, 217 South Main St., Newark on June 9, from 10 to 6. Any child under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. There is no cost. For more information, visit: http://criminaljustice.state.ny.us/pio/safechild.htm
