Missing Sodus

This week's weather has definitely been interesting. One minute we all are melting in front of a fan, turning on the air conditioning, then having the temps go into the 40s and turning on the heat over night. We need a nice comfortable middle spot.

From the Sodus Free Library:

• June 9 - 'Just Paperbacks' $1/Bag Day, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
• June 11 - Preschool Story Hour, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
• June 12 - Basic Spanish Class 5, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
• June 14 - Library Board of Trustees meeting, 4 p.m.
• June 15 - Knitting Class 17, 10 a.m.-noon
• June 17 - Closed for Father's Day
• June 18 - Preschool Story Hour, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
• June 19 - Basic Spanish Class 6, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
• June 19 - Friends of the Sodus Free Library meeting, 4 p.m.
• June 22 - Knitting Class 18, 10 a.m.-noon
• June 25 - Preschool Story Hour, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
• June 29 - Knitting Class 19, 10 a.m.-noon

The members of our Friends group are currently working on their 2nd annual 'Just Paperbacks' Book Sale. Stop by today or tomorrow during regular library hours. Last year's sale was successful, and we've been collecting boxes and boxes of donated paperbacks since then. Plan on stopping by to support this great group, as they support your community library. The most recent events for which the Friends have raised funds include Jerdine Nolen's visit and Spanish classes for library staff.

Have a great weekend. Enjoy your family - maybe go out for a nice walk with the dog and the kids. Books, of course, exercise the mind. Write down on a pad of paper what you want to accomplish during the day and check them off as you go, but always remember to add yourself and your time to the list. Then at the end of the day, you will know where your time went.
