Meeting this week at Savannah Dhu Discovering Destinations is the theme of the Seaway Trail, Inc. Meeting and Conference that will at the Savannah Dhu Wildlife Preserve and Conference Center. The Wednesday agenda includes a discussion of Destiny USA and the Great Lakes Seaway Trail, a presentation on how to maximize themes and anniversary celebrations, and how to market to military audiences. The Thursday morning program focuses on 'Seaway Trail Way Finding: Are Your Customers Lost' and will help attendees improve their connection to the 518-mile-long byway that is one of Americas Byways and a National Recreation Trail. A Wednesday evening reception and awards dinner recognizing significant supporters of the tourism industry along the Seaway Trail are also planned. Anyone with an accommodation, attraction, service or other business on the Seaway Trail is encouraged to attend this special event and to learn how to capitalize on the draw of the nationally and internationally recognized byway. Seaway Trail, Inc. will celebrate its 30th year as the non-profit organization promoting travel, tourism and related economic development along the shoreline of the St. Lawrence River, Lake Ontario, Niagara River and Lake Erie and is considered a leader in scenic byway marketing. The schedule provides for a tour of the magnificently designed Savannah Dhu buildings and grounds and a pontoon boat tour. Overnight and one-day rates are available.
