Strawberry Fest this weekend

The Huron and Wolcott Presbyterian Churches wish to announce the date of this year's Strawberry Festival. It will be held this Saturday, June 16 in Northup Park in the village of Wolcott from 9 to 6.

The event features craft booths, a special game tent for the kiddies, an Antique Tractor Show, and a Quilt Show. There will be a variety of entertainment for your enjoyment and mouthwatering food booths offering strawberry shortcakes, sundaes and milkshakes. Hots, hamburgers, salt potatoes, and nachos, plus soda and spring water will be available.

If you're hankering for some strawberries you can pick up a quart at the festival. A parade hightlighting the antique tractors will begin at 3. New this year is a pulled pork dinner with takeouts available.

The drawing for raffle winners will take place after the parade. This year's prizes are a GE Room Air Conditioner by Electromark, a Deluxe Pica Hand Pruner by Wafler Farms, a $40 Gift Certificate by Pick a Flick Video and a $10 Gift Certificate by Pick a Flick Video.
