The Newark-Arcadia Historical Society will meet at the Museum on Thurs. June 14 at 7:30 p.m.

We're pleased to have Jane Oakes as our speaker, whose topic is Opera Houses & Halls of the Genesee Country. The museum's new exhibit on Churches of Newark & Arcadia, and Spiritualism; plus displays celebrating the 50th anniversaries of the Newark Plaza (opened April 1957) and WACK Radio (Oct. 1957), will be open. There's also a new display on Bloomer Bros. Co., a smaller version of the transportation exhibit, Arcadia Mfg. Co. slicers (both sizes), Newark printers' blocks from Vanderbrook Press, and more.

Tickets will be available for the new Gas Grill (donated by Secor Home & Hardware of Newark). Tickets are $1 each (or 6/$5), with the drawing on Saturday, June 30, at 1:30 p.m. Advance tickets for the Strawberry Social will also be available ($3 ea.). The social will be held rain or shine on Saturday, June 23, noon - 3 p.m. at the museum, with live music.
