At Williamson Library Are your summer plans a mystery? Don't have a clue about what to do? Well, GET A CLUE at the Williamson Free Public Library! This week and through August 6, the library will be cloaked in mystery, ready for clever detectives to collect the clues to prizes, entertainment and fun for all ages. It's no mystery that reading improves your brain. Sharpen your thinking skills by taking advantage of the huge selection of books, magazines and newspapers at the Williamson library. Parents especially should be aware that if children read during the summer, they will do better in school next year. Reading during the summer keeps those skills sharp! Why not have every member of the family participate in a reading contest at the library? There's one for EVERYBODY! Reading is fun, relaxing, and educational and now it pays off with plenty of prizes. And anyone hot on the trail of something to do should investigate the special events scheduled at the library this summer. Entertainment programs include Wild Wings Birds of Prey, Moreland (the Very Mysterious) Magician, a real crime-solving dog, and even Bubblemania. Stop at the library for your full calendar of the summer's entertainment. Investigate Mirages, Monsters, Myths and Mysteries of Lake Ontario with author Susan Peterson Gately. Or you can try crafts for kids on Mondays and teens on Wednesdays; watch movies on Tuesday afternoons in July; solve a photo mystery for a chance to win the newest Harry Potter book. Help catch the dastardly Book Shredder; get weekly clues for The Case of the Missing Book; try a letterbox hunt; tie dye a tee shirt or even make ice cream.
