Wanted: old furniture The Success Center of The Wayne County Action Program is to help low-income families in our community furnish their living space appropriately. Our number one priority for these families is to find decent beds, linens and blankets. I have many requests for furniture from families who state, because of their recent crisis or lack of funds, they are in need of furniture. According to the National Center on Sleep Disorders Research (NCSDR) at NHLBI, children need a good night sleep each night on a regular basis for their health, safety and best performance in school and other activities. Inadequate sleep in children can lead to attention difficulties, easy frustration and difficulty controlling emotions. It is my mission to help the children of our community get a good night's sleep! We need your help. We have a waiting list for beds, linens, blankets, dressers, kitchen tables and chairs, and living room furniture and televisions. If you have any of these items in good condition, call Maureen Parks, at Success Center, 483.8080. I will arrange a time for you to drop off these items. If you don't have these items to donate and would still like to help, you may make your check payable to the Colvin Foundation, 159 Montezuma Street, Lyons, NY 14489. So keep us in mind when you have good usable items but no time for a garage sale! These donations are tax deductible and we will provide a receipt for you. All donations are GREATLY appreciated.
