Marion High School musicians and actors will present Thoroughly Modern Millie at 8 p.m. this evening; also Saturday, March 10, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Show your support and have a great time!

'The most difficult thing in the world is to know how to do something and to keep quiet while you watch somebody else doing it wrong.'

From a 1938 newspaper - Mr. and Mrs. Howard VanHoover and Mrs. Nellie VanHanegen have moved into the house recently vacated by Glaucius Smith and family. Garrett Mellema and family have moved into the house vacated by the VanHoovers. Mrs. Nora Stevens will move into Miss Bertha Geer's house.

The Fire Department is holding their famous 'Pancake Breakfast,' with all the extras, on March 11.

March 24, - St. Gregory's Angels of fundraising are planning a pasta dinner.

March 12 - Marion Winter Sports awards at 7 p.m. in the Junior-Senior High School Auditorium.

United Church of Marion Chicken & Biscuits Dinner featuring Home-baked pies. March 12, 4:30 p.m. till gone at The United Church of Marion, 3848 N. Main St., Marion. Take-outs available.

Thanks to Glenice LaJoie, in Maine, who forwarded two old catalogs for our Museum. One was Montgomery Ward where women's shoes were $2.95 and solid oak dining room chairs were $1.89 and a catalog from JR Watkins and Company stating that their Liniment was used for both externally and internally.

March 13-15 - Dollars for Scholars Phone-a-thon.

March 19, 1909: The new circulating library will be open Mondays, Wednesdays & Saturdays from 4 to 5 p.m. It is located for the present in the Presbyterian Manse under the care of Mrs. K. F. Norris and the membership fee is $1 per year.
