Sodus Chamber will honor Piekunkas

The Sodus Chamber of Commerce announced that Mary and Ernie Piekunka were chosen 2006 Citizens of the Year. They both provide many hours of service and support to the Chamber as well as being volunteers at the Sodus Point information booth, the American Legion Color Guard, their Church, and any other place they see a need for help.

For more than 60 years, they have made Sodus a good place to raise a family.

Folks will celebrate their accomplishments at the Citizen of the Year and Rotary Agri-Business Banquet on April 20, at the Sodus Bay Heights Restaurant. The banquet is open to the public. Tickets are $23 per person (advanced sale only) and may be purchased at Curves on Maple Ave, Fox Law Office on Main Street, or by mailing check to Sodus Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 187, Sodus 14551.
