WCHS membership drive

The Wayne County Historical Society Museum is embarking on a major membership drive, Book It!

With each new membership at the Cobblestone level or above, the Museum of Wayne County History will be giving out a choice of one of two books, Figured and Fancy: Weavers of Wayne County, NY by Clarita S. Anderson or A Gathering of Memories: Images and Recollections of Wayne County, NY by Andrea T. Evangelist.

Executive Director Larry Ann Evans says there are many new things happening at 21 Butternut Street in Lyons. Rooms have been remodeled, the new military room is in the works, and the downstairs exhibition room is now showing 'Spring into Fashion: The History of Hats.'

The museum membership levels and names of levels have been changed.

Membership levels and the new level names are:

  • Drumlin level at $25,
  • Cobblestone at $26-$50,
  • Clyde Glass & Lyons Pottery by donating $51-$100
  • Old Jail at $101-$250,
  • Peppermint at $251-$350,
  • Chimney Bluff at $351- $500
  • and the highest giving level is:
  • Erie Canal by donating over $501.

All membership levels include free admission to the museum, a subscription to the magazine, WH, and discounts on gift shop merchandise.
