Cobblestones at Williamson library It's nothing more than a beige or pinkish smooth stone. You can find it along Lake Ontario, after the waves have rounded the rough edges of a piece of limestone or sandstone and tossed it up on the shore. Or, perhaps it surfaces in a farmer's field after thousands of years of tumbling in ancient glaciers. It is the lowly cobblestone - the raw material for some of the most beautiful homes found in Wayne County. Carolyn Adriaansen, Marion Town Historian, will share the cobblestones secrets at the Friends of the Williamson Free Public Library Sandwiched In on Wednesday, March 21. Come learn about the cobblestone and its history. The program begins at noon in the library's community room. An optional lunch may be reserved by calling 589.2048 by 8 p.m. March 19. Copyright
