  Thanks! to Eleanor Schoonerman for calling and delivering daffodils for the American Cancer Society. And thanks to all of you who contributed to this worthy cause.

January 1938: Forty property owners on the Marion-Williamson Road have filed a petition requesting the two towns to establish a joint water district comprising a strip of land 1000 feet wide along this highway and joining the water districts already established.

In 1925 a man had to work 24 minutes to a buy a gallon of gasoline...
In 1954 a man worked only 10 minutes to a buy a gallon of gasoline...
Can anyone figure out how long we work today for a gallon of gasoline?

Dean's List - Dan Adriaansen has been named to the Dean's List at SUNY Brockport. Dan is in his fourth year studying Meteorology. He is the son of Bob and Phyllis Adriaansen of Marion.

Spring Recess - NO SCHOOL - April 6-13.

To go with your Easter ham...
Creamy Potato Sticks

1/4 cup flour
1/2 teas salt
1 1/2 cups milk
1 can condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
1/2 pound American cheese, cubed
4 pounds frozen French fries, thawed
1 cup chopped onion
paprika

In a saucepan, combine flour and salt; gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from heat; whisk in soup and cheese until smooth. Place potatoes in 9x13 greased baking dish. Sprinkle with onion. Top with cheese sauce. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Sprinkle with paprika.
