The weather has been so nice, hasn't it? We can go outside with a light jacket. And to be able to go for a walk and sit outside without freezing is so wonderful!

Easter will be here soon. I got some plastic Easter eggs to hang on the bushes, just haven't gotten the energy to put the thread through them all. But, when it gets done, it will look so cute. (The new neighbors are getting used to me.) My other neighbors had known me in Sodus for 15 years and at my house here in Greece for 8, so they figured I'd be doing something different, but they had to accept me. (It was my house.)

It's a quiet week this week. The spring shopping fling will be coming up in April and the Antique show in Newark . When I find out some dates I will pass them along for you.

News from Heluva Good Cheese:

Heluva Good, the maker of America's #1 sour cream dip and award-winning cheese, has announced the retirement of Father Time as the official spokesperson for the Heluva Good line of products.

Father Time, who has faithfully served the company since 1922, plans to retire to an undisclosed sub-tropical location and spend more time enjoying his large and growing family.

Following his decision to retire, Father Time was asked for his input on the subsequent redesign of the Heluva Good! Dips packaging.

'We thank Father Time for his loyal service all of these years. He has helped the company grow to well over $100 million in sales,' said Jay Snedeker, Vice President and General Manager of Heluva Good. 'We are happy that he remains in great health and we're sure he'll lead a very active retired life. By the same token, we are extraordinarily happy with the brand repositioning and new package look.'

Packages within the entire line of dips, all flavors and sizes, have been redesigned. The line of naturally-aged hard cheeses, shredded cheeses, cold pack cheeses and condiments will also be converted by the end of the first quarter 2007.

So, look for the new packages. I know myself there will be a few times looking for the old packaging then I'll get the hang of it.

The weekend will be warmer but rainy, especially on Sunday so it's a good time to get some movies and good books to keep busy and have fun. Find some new recipes for Easter brunch. And while it's raining, just think, 'It's making the flowers grow and, even more important, it's not SNOW!'

Have a great week. Enjoy each other's company and that warm weather.
