Williamson church plans Mission Weekend

First Baptist Church, 4212 East Main Street, Williamson is holding its 4th annual Mission Encounter Weekend from May 4-6, 2007. Participants may take part in various mission projects, including working at American Baptist Camp Vick in Sandusky, New York, baking for Pines of Peace Comfort Care home in Ontario and working for the Victim Resource Center of the Finger Lakes, Inc. Visiting shut-ins will also take place on Saturday, which is the main outreach day.

Another mission will be preparing a Baked Ziti Dinner to be served between 5 and 7:30 in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist on Saturday, May 5. Dinner will include ziti, bread, salad, dessert and beverage. An alternate entree of macaroni and cheese will also be available. Tickets, available at the door, are $6 for adults and $3 for children ages 3 to 10. There is no charge for children 2 and under.

Monies raised will help fund a mission trip to the Dominican Republic planned for later in the summer. Several church members, which recently celebrated its 185th anniversary, will be going on this trip. The public is cordially invited to the dinner and also to take part in the Mission Encounter Weekend. For more information on either event please contact the church office, 589.2384.
