Missing Sodus Spring has finally sprung! Soon, you will be able to plant your annuals outside and not worry about them. The hanging baskets will be displayed, the porch boxes will be filled and the gardens will be filled. It's nice to be able to open windows in the morning and get some fresh air into the house. More sunshine is always a plus to start the day. Everyone is happy and coming out of hibernation. You hear the voices of children playing outside. (You also have to watch out for them because they are.) At the pond, the geese have had goslings who were taking a swim the other day. I saw something I'd never seen before the other day. I had taken Sarah out for her morning ritual and heard geese, which seemed close, but I couldn't find them. They got louder and more wild. They seemed to be angry. I looked up to find two huge geese sitting on the roof looking right at the dog. It was a quick ritual to say the least. Geese, especially wild ones, can be nasty. From the Sodus Free Library:

See? I told you once things got started there would be all kinds of fun things to do. Have a great Mother's Day and take good care of your mom on her special day. Although I do think that since moms are the reason for people having birthdays they should be celebrated on each of their children's birthdays as well as Mother's Day. A small gift should be gotten for mom, even flowers would be nice. Enjoy the nice weather. Try to get the family out for a walk maybe after dinner at night and take the family dog as well. They have been cooped up for months, too. (It depends on if you have a lot of time for the walk, though. Dogs tend to stop a lot.) Enjoy your families and your weekend together. Copyright
