Heritage Society meets Monday

The Lyons Heritage Society will meet May 21 at 70 p.m. in the Hotchkiss Essential Oil Company building on Water Street, Lyons.

Speaker will be Russ Bailey who will share his experiences as a World War II Prisoner of War. As a 19-year-old infantryman, he was captured by the Germans in Alsace. He was imprisoned in Stalag 7A in Munich.

Now retired, Bailey is a former Social Studies teacher and Guidance Counselor in the North Rose-Wolcott School District.

There will be a business meeting. The public is invited; questions, call 946.4492.
