Memorial Day parade in Marion The parade will depart from the Marion Fire Department parking lot at 11 a.m. on May 28. It will proceed to Mill St. to South Main St. to North Main St. to Cemetery Drive to the Marion Cemetery. At 11:30 a.m., a ceremony honoring the dead will commence at the large statue. Immediately after, there will be a ceremony at the rear of the chapel with selections from the Marion Band and a recitation of The Gettysburg Address by the Marion Fifth Grade Class. Bleacher seating will be available in front of the Marion Bank and the Elementary School for the parade. Veterans are invited to participate in the parade, either marching or riding. It is requested that vehicles not park on South/North Main St. from Mill St. to Cemetery Drive on May 28 until after the parade. Copyright
