Oscar Anderson art show in Newark Nov. 10

An Oscar Anderson Art Show & Meet the Artist will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 11 to 4, at the Newark-Arcadia Museum, 120 High St., Newark. The event is free.

Many of Anderson's paintings will be on display, from the 1940s through the 2000's. Included will be local landscapes, paintings done in India and Asia while in the service, and much more. This will be an opportunity to meet the artist, and to purchase his works.

Oscar F. Anderson (born 1920) worked as a commercial artist for Bloomer Bros. Co. in Newark. Mr. Anderson has done drawings of the Newark- Arcadia Museum and the Marbletown Schoolhouse, all used on the society's envelopes, stationary, newsletters and special programs.
