Eureka Grange presenting awards Friday

On November 9, several members of Eureka Grange (Lyons) will be honored with long time service awards.

Those being honored are Maurice Schleede with 50 years, Howard Albrecht and Mabel Matteson with 55 years, Gordon Lancaster, Max Sontheim, and Robert VanLare for 60 years, and William Lasher with 70 years.

Dinner will be served at 6. With the exception of the honorees, everyone should bring table service and a dish to pass. Meat and beverage will be furnished.

A program about cancer awareness will be presented by Susan Short of the Cancer Screening Partnership of Wayne County. The public is invited to join the Grangers to learn more about cancer in both men and women.

The Grange meets upstairs above the Lyons Public Library, corner of Canal and Phelps Streets.
