American Red Cross Babysitter Training next week

Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross will host a Babysitters Training class at the Chapter House, 400 South Main St., Newark, on Nov. 23 & 24 from 9 to 1.

Attendance at both sessions is required. The course will be taught by a certified Red Cross instructor.

Youth ages 11-15 will learn almost everything they need to become a great babysitter.

This fun, interactive class teaches first aid and safety skills, how to respond to and prevent emergencies, and much more. Students will gain confidence and valuable employment skills. Fees for the Babysitter Training course are $35, which includes a handbook, take-home handout work sheets for on the job, hands on training, and Red Cross certification.

Advance registration is required for this Thanksgiving break class.
