Dec. 1 bazaar at North Rose church

A canopy of Christmas lights like sparking stars will create an atmospheres of anticipation for the Annual Bazaar of the North Rose United Methodist Women on Saturday, December l, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Shoppers Special soup and sandwich luncheon will be served starting at eleven., Put North Rose as your stop for lunch stop on the First. Desert and beverage will also be available.

In addition the Food Court will feature the Cookie Corner under the direction of the choir, and the Bake Table filled with tempting delicacies. There will be a booth The Reason for the Season which will feature items related to the birth of Jesus.

Other booths along the Christmas shopping walk will be hand-crafted items, mittens, hats and original art work, decorations, and a white elephants. By request, there will be baskets of fresh-cut evergreens arranged for holiday decorating.

Activities for children will include the popular children's gift shop, a story corner, and face painting designed to keep the young ones busy while mother shops. Several of the young musicians in the congregation will present brief interludes of Christmas music during the festivities.

The Christmas Bazaar is one of the major fund raising activities of the United Methodist Women. It supports a mission budget of more than $4000 for local, national and international projects.

The Wesley Thrift Shop located next door will have a large selection of Christmas wear, ornaments and decorations at bargain prices. The Thrift Shop is part of the local outreach of the North Rose United Methodist Church.
