Blood drive Saturday at Newark church

The Newark Rotary and the American Red Cross announce the Jack Blodgett Memorial Blood Drive at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 400 S. Main Street, November 24 from 8:30 to 1:30.

There will be homemade cookies and prizes raffled during the drive.

Every two seconds, someone in America needs a blood donation. One blood donation can save up to three lives. One of three people will need a blood transfusion at some point in their life.
