Happenings Dan Filibert is residing with his daughter, Lorraine & Leonard Thien at 6809 Wilty St., Metairie, LA 70003 Congratulations - community - for the 1500 pounds of food collected for Marion Food Pantry. Thanks go to the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for collecting and to the Marion 4-H Clubs for the sorting and packing. We are very proud of our young people who are concerned about those in our community who need our assistance. Dear Dan - the leaves are off the trees so I can see Lillian Cherrier spent Thanksgiving Day with her daughter, Debbie and family in Seneca Falls. An American folk tale tells of spirits who live inside each kernel of popcorn. When their homes are exposed to heat, the residents explode from them in anger. November 29, 1923 - First dance of the season was given Friday evening at the Colonial. There were Marion folks on the bus tour to Nashville, hosted by Harry & Jeanne Lewis. They visited many interesting places including the Biltmore Estate with 255 rooms - (how would you like to decorate this mansion for the holidays?) Last week I had the pleasure of visiting different Sears homes, a stucco one in Palmyra and one in Williamson with clapboard siding. This is a fascinating hobby. (It's like being a detective - with my camera, screwdriver and flashlight) Community Christmas Concerts
