Church group going to Mexico;
fundraiser dinner Dec. 3

Second Reformed Church of Marion will be sponsoring 14 men and women making a mission trip to Mexico in February.

The group will be traveling to the town of Alphajayucan to build an addition onto the Alpha and Omega Christian Center. The congregation has a vision of reaching the poor with a new kitchen, along with sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. The mission group aims to help fulfill that vision.

Second Reformed Church will have a Spanish food dinner on December 3 to raise funds for the mission trip. Spanish community members and mission team will prepare and serve authentic foods beginning at 6 p.m., with a freewill offering being taken.

A Christmas gift shop for children will coincide with the dinner, opening at 5:30 p.m. for young shoppers looking to make early purchases. For additional information call 315.926.4235.
