Holiday Spirit contest deadline Friday

Newark Chamber of Commerce and Wireless World are sponsoring a Neighborhood Holiday Decorating Contest as a part of the 'WIRELESS WORLD Community Holiday Spirit Week' in Newark.

Neighbors are invited to get together, create a theme, decorate their homes and neighborhoods, and submit an entry for judging. Neighborhoods will be judged on creativity of theme and curbside appeal. Judges will be making their decisions and residents will be encouraged to view each of the participating areas December 1 to 9.

Call or stop by the Chamber Office, 331.2705, for either entry form and complete guidelines for the neighborhood contest. Forms must be returned by Friday, November 30.

All neighborhoods must have a completed entry form to be eligible for prizes.

Also planned is a Commercial Holiday Decorating Contest. Businesses are invited and encouraged to submit an entry form to have their holiday decorations judged during the same week. Judges will consider curbside appeal only. No indoor decorations will be judged.
