October 4, 1951 - The Physical Education Department of Marion Central was thrilled to see workmen start laying the floor in the new gym this week.

Congratulations to Tim and Stacey Clark and family on the September 10 arrival of Kayla Elizabeth, weighing 9 lbs., 2.7 oz.

I have had a request to help a family in need. They could use soap and shampoo, towels and washcloths, hand lotion, toilet paper, Kleenex. Thanks ... and drop your items off at our home, 4063 Maple Avenue.

Marion Fire Department Auction is tomorrow, October 6

October 2, 1941 - The FFA Chapter of Marion held a meeting Tuesday, at which Lee Boekhout was elected President; Gerald Love, Vice-president; Nelson Ameele, secretary; Joe Spychalski, Treasurer; Lloyd Van Haneghem, Reporter; and Bruce Klaeysen, Watch Dog.

The FFA Chapter won 28 blue ribbons, 16 red ribbons, and 6 green at the Palmyra Fair. The apple judging team consisting of Nelson Ameele, Lee Boekhout and Elwood Van Lare won 2nd place out of 13 competing schools.
