Fall festival Oct. 20 in South Butler Lighthouse Community Fellowship, 3483 State Route 89, will have a Friends & Family Fall Festival, Saturday, October 20, from 11 to 3. The event is open to the community and will be offering a myriad of food, activities, flea market, events and prizes. Some of the activities are: plaster the pastors, guess the weight of the pumpkin, hay rides, races, face painting, pie eating contest and games. You may also wish to have your picture taken at the beautiful, hand painted fall back drop. If you are looking for that certain something, perhaps will you find it at the flea market? The flea market will consist of items donated by church members and range from furniture to lighting fixtures, toys, Beanie Babies and everything in between. If fall food is what you enjoy, it will be there. The community and church members are encouraged to enter their favorite chili recipe in the chili cook-off. After the judging, those visiting the festival will be able to purchase a bowl of chili from the ones submitted for the contest. A cake walk will also be offered. Win a delicious cake while having fun playing a game. Admission for the event is free and open to everyone in and around the community of South Butler. Advanced sale ticket books are available for the cake walk contests, fall pictures, plaster the pastors and, hot dogs, chips and soda. Ticket books can be purchased at the church office up until Friday, October 19 for a discount rate of $5 for $7 worth of tickets. Ticket books will be available for purchase Saturday, for $7.
