Newark Chamber announces fall, winter events

The Historic Cemetery Walk is October 19 starting at 6 p.m. and on October 20 starting at 2, at East Newark Cemetery (corner Vienna and East Maple Ave). Tours are about 15 minutes long. Tickets $6 a person, $10 per family. Bring flashlights to evening tours.

Business After Hours will take place Oct. 24 from 5 to 7 at Ameriprise Financial, 506 West Union. To RSVP, call Ameriprise at 331.1177.

The Chamber dinner is planned for Wednesday, November 14 at the Quality Inn.

Tree Lighting is Friday, December 7. Chamber of Commerce needs volunteers to pour hot chocolate and coffee and serve pizza and cookies from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Call the office 331.2705 to sign up.

The RPO Concert is Saturday, Dec. 8.

Community Holiday Spirit Week includes a holiday decorating contest for neighborhoods and businesses. All decorating is on the outside (or window display for businesses) and will be judged from the curb. Prizes will be awarded.

Committee members are Linda Werts, Dawn Strait, Mike Muscolino, Diana Lagenor, Gloria Becker and Rob Crowder. This event is underwritten by Verizon Wireless.
