Trick or Treat event Monday at DeMay

Several hundred scary little witches, ghosts, goblins and ghouls will descend on DeMay Living Center next Monday, Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. for the DeMay Living Center 'Trick-or-Treat' Night.

This intergenerational event is held for the children and grandchildren of staff members and residents. The indoor Halloween event gives DeMay residents the chance to have fun with their youngest family members and friends and offers parents a safe alternative to trick-or-treating in unfamiliar neighborhoods. It is one of several family-focused intergenerational events held throughout the year.

DeMay Living Center, an affiliate of Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, is a 180-bed residential skilled facility in Newark, Wayne County.

Built in 1994, this modern living center offers 24-hour nursing care for individuals requiring: short and long-term rehabilitation; care for individuals with dementia and other cognitive disorders; ventilator-dependent care; respite; medical adult day care, and other specialized services.
